The common labeling methods on the market include chemical formula (06Cr19Ni10) and SUS (SUS304), among which 06Cr19Ni10 generally means national standard production, 304 generally means American ASTM standard production, and SUS 304 means Japanese standard production. There is another kind of stainless steel called austenitic stainless steel. Is it a new stainless steel?
Of course not, stainless steel is divided into austenite and martensite. Common austenitic stainless steels are SUS316, SUS304, SUS303, etc. Common stainless steels in martensite include SUS440C, SUS410, etc. 304 stainless steel is a kind of austenitic stainless steel, which is a common material in stainless steel, with a density of 7.93 g/cm³; it is also called 18/8 stainless steel in the industry, which means it contains more than 18% chromium and more than 8% nickel; With high temperature resistance of 800℃, it has the characteristics of good processing performance and high toughness, and is widely used in industry, furniture decoration industry and food and medical industry. However, it should be noted that food-grade 304 stainless steel has stricter content indicators than ordinary 304 stainless steel. For example: the international definition of 304 stainless steel is that it mainly contains 18%-20% chromium and 8%-10% nickel, but food-grade 304 stainless steel contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, which allows fluctuations within a certain range, and Limit the content of various heavy metals. In other words, 304 stainless steel is not necessarily food grade 304 stainless steel.
Therefore, when purchasing, be sure to see clearly whether there is a shield-shaped steel stamp of “SUS304″ on the inner wall of the thermos cup (all domestic brands have it), and whether there is a clear indication on the outer box of the product that “SUS304″ is used 304# (or 316#) edible stainless steel base material”, “executive standard: GB4806.9-2016″, the words marked with this information are reliable.
